Profiles In Courage Essay Contest

The JFK Library Foundation's 2021 contest is officially open! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ High school students can now share an essay describing an elected official’s political courage. We will be accepting submissions until our January 15, 2021 deadline. You can read the full details regarding prizes and eligibility requirements here. As President Kennedy once said, “the stories of past courage...can teach, they can offer hope, they can provide inspiration.” This has never been more true than it is today. We encourage you to download a Helpful Tips classroom poster for your students. You can also sign up to receive a hardcopy contest brochure. Both can be used as helpful guides for students to craft a winning essay. For more information:
