Join New York Times Bestselling author, journalist, essayist, and social commentator, Sarah Vowell for a special event examining the complexity and biases in researching and writing histories. Ms. Vowell will share with participants how she formulates historical questions and approaches her craft, with emphasis on how we can use primary sources as a way to access historical inquiry, allowing historians and history educators to tell authentic histories through the texts and artifacts of the past. Funded, in part, by a grant from the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program, Ms. Vowell will surely inspire anyone interested in the teaching and learning of history.
