Better Days: Student Contest and Teacher Awards

Better Days is a nonprofit dedicated to sharing stories of women in Utah history.

Our first event of 2021 is a student essay and art contest about women in Utah history, as well as awards for Utah teachers who bring women's history into their classrooms. These are open to students and educators in grades 4-12, and you can find the contest prompt and details at this link or in the attached flyers. There are cash prizes for student winners and $500 awards for teachers! Winning student work will also be shared statewide on Utah Public Radio and in a digital exhibit. The submission deadline is February 5, with winners announced by February 14th.

Please share with your fellow teachers and encourage your students to participate!
